Shamanism

A shaman is a healer, visionary and soul doctor who walks between the worlds of the everyday and spirit realms, the visible and invisible, with the aid of special spirit helpers. The shaman establishes close working bonds with spirit helpers, who assist on journeys to the spirit dimensions of creation. This journey is made during an altered state of consciousness or trance.

Shamanism brings transformation at the deepest level and can help with life changes, relationships, healing, connection and transitions. Anyone can use shamanism in their lives, for some it is the next step to help them on their way, for others it becomes a life path.

A shaman's training is long, demanding and involves practicing highly specialized skills. But you can begin to explore the world shamanically - to connect with the visible and invisible aspects of the natural world, and find your own special helpers and totems. You can begin to develop your shamanic senses.

The practical tasks, rituals and ceremonies that I introduce to clients are a way to build this foundation of personal experience and help take these first steps to the practice of shamanism. Through them you can experience shamanic awareness through all aspects of your being - not just through the understanding of the mind, but also the actions of body, inspiration of the spirit and - most importantly - the connection of the heart.
